I have added a form action to my webpage for visiters to add their email to a mailing list. One visitor has said that he gets the following error message when using the form on his Macintosh:
"The specified server cannot be found."
And it does not send an email.

The Form works flawlessly with windows using Netscape 4.7 and Explorer 5.0!
I don't have any idea why or how to fix this, but I'm sure someone here can....please help! :D

This is the code I am using for the actual pop up window:

<table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="1" width="90%" height="50%" >
<tr>
<td align="center"><form action="mailto:hi.infidelity@attbi.com" method="POST" enctype="text/plain">
<p>
<br>
<font color="white" size="2" face="Century Schoolbook SWA"><strong>Email Address:</strong></font> <br>
<input type="text" size="40" name="Email">
<br><br>

<input type="submit" name="submit"> &nbsp;&nbsp;
<input type="reset" name="reset">

This is the code I am using on my index.html:

<script>
//Popup Window Script
//By JavaScript Kit (http://javascriptkit.com)
//JavaScript tutorials and over 400+ free scripts

function openpopup(){
var popurl="mailinglist.html"
winpops=window.open(popurl,"","width=360,height=370,status,")
}

function get_cookie(Name) {
var search = Name + "="
var returnvalue = "";
if (document.cookie.length > 0) {
offset = document.cookie.indexOf(search)
if (offset != -1) { // if cookie exists
offset += search.length
// set index of beginning of value
end = document.cookie.indexOf(";", offset);
// set index of end of cookie value
if (end == -1)
end = document.cookie.length;
returnvalue=unescape(document.cookie.substring(offset, end))
}
}
return returnvalue;
}

function loadornot(){
if (get_cookie('poppedup')==''){
openpopup()
document.cookie="poppedup=yes"
}
}

loadornot()
</script>

Hi, just tested your form with IE 5.1. and Mozilla 1 on a Mac. Nothing wrong.

Thanks MCookie, I am now wondering if my friend has updated his software. I will check into that.
Did you put it through as a test? I just want to make sure that you don't end up getting flyers every week...unless you want to fly in from the Netherlands to see the band?
