I need a DHTML tutorial which centers on creating navigation systems.

Here's a link you might want to follow. Some pretty nice tutorials as well as a nice selection of menu scripts that are highly configurable: http://www.dhtmlcentral.com/ . Writing a navigational menu is not really that simple or that difficult, depending on the type of navigation you want, what browsers you want to code for, etc. There's a million tutorials out there that could fit the description of what you're asking. You could benefit a lot by utilizing search engines such as google. With the right search terms, you'd be surprised at the resources you can turn up via a search.

If you really want to learn all the things you've been asking about you have to realize that it is going to take some time (learn as you go ;) ). Just decide where you want to start, devote some spare time, and buckle down and read. Read and re-read until you understand what you've read 100% before moving on.

I don't know how advanced you are @ this point, but a good place to start is right here: http://www.javascriptkit.com/javaindex.shtml (See 'Tutorial Index'). You need to learn to walk before you can run....you need to know the basics before you can start writing cross-browser dhtml navigational menu scripts. Some are complicated, some are not. At any rate, good luck to you ;).
