Hello all,

I've finally made some space on my website, to share my javascripts. Just one for now, more to come when I have time. Enjoy and please email me with your comments. The documentation sucks, but that's because I don't know how and don't have a good format.

You might comment here, though I don't know if it's approriate; I don't have a message board on my site yet...

Check it out and let me know what you think of my rollover script (it WILL get MUCH better SOON).

Hi rawsweets:
I've removed the poll from this thread, as there is little need for it.

What caused you to remove the poll? I wanted a way for people to register their interest in the script I created. How else should polls be used in this forum?

All that coding can be replaced with few simple lines in CSS.

After developing this idea somewhat, I looked around the web and found one author who did this with JS and CSS. It's very well done. Their site is at

Did you mean CSS alone for your solution? Do you have a link or can you post code?

Also, there is one thing about the CSS method - the solution could interfere with other CSS classes that an author might want to use with their IMG's. Also, I can't see how CSS could be modular. How could one class display the correct counter image when multiple images use that class? Wouldn't you have to create a seperate class for each rollover?

My goal is to decrease the amount of code an author would need to write. That goes for assigning otherwise unnecessary classes to an IMG tag, to defining CSS classes for a web page. My solution only requires renaming the image file, and that seems like less work.

What do you think?
