I'm creating a portfolio website, and I currently have my images displayed in a simple jquery slideshow — this is fine if there are just a few images, but I'd also like to display sets of 50+ photographs, and think a prev/next slideshow option would be better.
Here's an example. (http://christinalynndavis.com/black--white)
I've looked around on the internet for a tutorial, but haven't found anything helpful.
Does anyone know of a tutorial, or can tell me how to do this on this thread? Thanks!

Not sure if Lightbox (http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/) or Shadowbox (http://www.shadowbox-js.com/)could be set up the way you want, but you can check.
Personally I like the free JAlbum software (http://jalbum.net/) that allows hundreds of skin selections and it makes the files, thumbnails, etc. for you. LOTS of options. Stu has numerous slideshow examples (http://www.stunicholls.com/gallery/index.html).

Lightbox is similar to what I'd like to do, but I want it to stay on the page and not pop out into the slideshow. I found this (http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/int2.html) website — the prev/next slideshow is what I'd like, but I'm not sure how to go about putting the "prev" and "next" selectors on something, or... I'm not even sure how to make that work. The link above doesn't really give that much information, but it's the closes thing I've found.

Have you looked through St's examples? Gallery Index (http://www.stunicholls.com/gallery/index.html) Or, how about DynamicDrive's (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/indexb.html)? JQuery is smoother in many cases, but people don't like the complexity they see. :P
