Network Security Assignment

Can anyone tell me if there is a site that I can get interactive help with a security networking Class. I have a project that is due that deals with tracking tools or any security issues. I have to show how to get into someones account (with their permission of course) and record my moves on the computer with me telling about each step as I go, then upload to U-Tube!

I have many questions regarding this, not to mention that it makes me feel uneasy to do a project on "hacking", this class is a part of Web Technologies degree!

Hello friends,

First of all, pretty much every distro now has a GUI for user account management. It's usually easier to do it through the console though.

Every distro has some kind of script that steps you through the account creation process. The script will automatically create home directory, set permissions, etc. Furthermore, the scripts are easy to customize.

You can just get HR to give you an Excel file or some tab/comma delimited text file with all the information required and have a script take care of everything for you.
