In photoshop 7, for the text tag we only get the text size in points (pt). Is there a way we can change it into pixels?

This is from the user guide pdf.

Choosing a type size
The type size determines how large the type appears in the image:
• In Photoshop, the default unit of measurement for type is points. One PostScript point is
equal to 1/72 of an inch in a 72-ppi image; however, you can switch between using the
PostScript and traditional definitions of point size. You can change the default unit of
measurement for type in the Units & Rulers section of the Preferences dialog box.
• In ImageReady, pixels are the only unit of measurement for type. This is because the
ImageReady application is tailored to creating images for online media, in which pixels
are the standard unit of measurement.

You have to use Image Ready to pit the type in in pixels.

Hello, how do you use Photoshop cs3 vanishing point on other shapes? Photoshop CS3s vanishing tool is great for things like cubes. But how and can you get it to work on objects such as pyramids, 3d Pac man shapes, spheres, etc...? If possible, and link would be great. Thank you very much in advance.
