Are there any negatives as far as SEO to having pages that aren't linked to from your site? I want to create some exclusive pages for Facebook / Twitter fans and not link to them on my main site.

Frankie 10-31-2011, 06:49 AM No. Search engines just won't index those Facebook/Twitter pages then. To them it is as if they don't exist. And put a no-index, no-follow metatag in their heads to prevent indexing due to links created by others, e.g. by other Facebookers/Twitterers on their pages. comvigo 10-31-2011, 10:03 AM No problem, create Facebook / Twitter pages separately. These links not affect your website seo. cineweekly.com 11-01-2011, 04:58 AM And put a no-index, no-follow metatag in their heads to prevent indexing due to links created by others, e.g. by other Facebookers/Twitterers on their pages. I don't mind if they're indexed and as a matter of fact would prefer that they are. Why would I do this step? |
