View Full Version : Development Project: Proposal Generator / Compiler

I have a project that I want to develop for a graduate class I am in, I have about 3 weeks to get it done, and need to know more of what do you guys think is the best medium to complete the project. My base knowledge is more in client side coding, with a strong knowledge of graphic design. I have worked with CMS like Joomla and Drupal, but I don't think that type of development will help me now.

I want to create a proposal generator for the graphic design, web design, and development fields. In this generator I will have a space that I would throw front cover and body page designer program, I was thinking of using an internet based design script for this.

It will have to have different form for data used in the proposal such as scope of the project, problem to be solved, solution ideas, concept details, thumbs, roughs, and wire-frames. I also want it to have a place were you can fill in the customer information of who will be looking at the proposal.

Then the proposals save to a database where you can look at the proposal, mark on it if it is accepted or declined. Even print the proposal to a PDF.

I want to make it all web based if I can, but if I can't then I guess making it into software is my next option. If anyone has any ideas that can steer me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Something Similar would be www.bidsketch.com

This system is similar, but I want to be able to edit it for the content that I want to add into it.

Take Joomla in example how you can add articles, that is the simplicity I want, but there to be, client, proposal, billing statements, etc. If anyone knows anything resource wise that would help me out let me know.

http://webproposalgenerator.com/ is another one. It functions like a CMS so you need your own web server
