Hello, my stepbrother is a sports handicapper and wanted to make a website to provide his services to the public. http://nostratota.com So I decided to design this website for him. It's been live since September 1st and we still haven't made an online sale, therefor he does have clients and that win money.
It seems I've ran out of creativity.
If anybody has any ideas or wants to help I'm open for suggestions.
Aspects of Review
-Does it have potencial?
-Is it a decent first website?
-Does it look professional?

For me the Website looks very dark - like you trying to hide something, my suggest is to redesign it to web 2.0 style, more fresh more clean.
I think it would be better to set up a wordpress and redesign abit a template that you find more to your style.

Very dark and hard to read, nothing flows, it's scattered. Also you have 10 scripts running which can be viewed as click jacking, malware, or annoying stolen statistic information.
While it's your first, it's better than many first timers I've seen. But try to get it to flow properly.
A proper clean and easy to navigate website can be found here.

Okay thanks guys, I'm working on a new version for the website try to make it more professional. I'm also going to introduce a log in system, a news letter and an admin area. http://nostratota.com/nostratotaV2/index.php The original version was getting to cluttered, I was testing a whole bunch of things out, and originally I made the site only in html, so when when I tried making it PHP and creating a header, footer, sidebar and main .php the code just got cluttered and complicated. Sometimes it's good to start fresh. Tell me what you think guys.http://nostratota.com/nostratotaV2/index.php

My name is David and I work with Dell OEM. Not bad site for being your very first one! Great job!
My suggestion would be to put more structure in the site, seems things are floating around. Also, some content of what the site is and what you are trying to offer would help. Some human faces, it give it a friend warm feeling would help too.
Keep up the good work,
Not to fond of the domain you picked. A bit hard to read and remember.

Its a good start but a few things you might consider working on.
1. Seems things are not to clear on the purpose up front.
2. Maybe raise stuff up higher and more compact so they can know whats going on right when they come onto the page.
3. Color seems solid, maybe add in a third color.
4. Consider looking into a new domain name.

One main thing you should think about aside from the actual color/layout is adding something at the top that really gets the point across as to what the site is all about. Right now it can easily take 5 un-necessary seconds to figure out why this site is here.
Slogans work well or some sort of catch phrase in the banner.

The domain name is very difficult to remember and for somebody that would like to come back to your website it would make it difficult. small and simple is the best idea
