hello everyone. I just joined this forum today, so I hope i'm not posting anything against the rules. if I am I will be more than happy to delete this thread. before I post my actual code can somebody please tell me if its okay to do so? the only reason I ask is because it is for a class project. I DID read the rules, but was still unsure if asking for help is okay or not. (because it is for an assignment) I don't want anybody to do the work for me, I just want to know if it is okay for me to ask for some assistance? any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Again, I hope I haven't broken any rules with this request.

Most of us interpret the rule against posting homework this way:
IF you post a reasonable amount of code that you have written, showing that you have at least attempted to do the assignment...
and IF you point out what is wrong with your code (that is, what part of the assignment it doesn't fulfill)...
THEN you will typically get a reasonable amount of help.
Every so often, somebody here goes off the deep end and writes the entire assignment for you. You should probably hope that doesn't happen too often, because you won't learn from that. <grin/>

I see! Thank you for clearing that up for me! Yeah, I actually had everything done, but the .reset() part wasn't resetting the form for some reason, turns out I misspelled a variable, and didn't notice it the first five thousand times I re-read through my code. I wouldn't ever want anyone to do my assignments, I really love the feeling of solving the solution after not getting something to work. Plus like you said, its hard to learn something after having all of the hard work done for you. Its good to know I could (hopefully) get some help in the future if it is needed though! thank you for the quick reply.

Help finding typos like that is okay no matter what. If you were that close, nobody at all would begrudge you the time.
