problem with VirtualHost with MAMP

Hi.. I am completely new to this stuff and I am following instructions from a book. I've been led astray somewhere and can't figure out how to get my VirtualHosting to work properly.

I am using MAMP pro and created a new server called: class166

I then set up a dreamweaver site and tried to test a simple php document using LiveView. When testing in LiveView I get, "The requested URL /lessons/lesson02/site_check.php was not found on this server."

Here are my settings in Dreamweaver:

Site -
Site Name: Class 166
Local Site Folder: /Users/Michael/Sites/class166

Testing Server Settings -
Server Name: Testing Server
Connect Using: Local/Network
Server Folder: /Users/Michael/Sites/class166
web URL: http://class166:8888/

When I test the page in Safari this is the URL...
http://class166:8888/lessons/lesson02/site_check.php


The same results... a page pops up saying, "The requested URL /lessons/lesson02/site_check.php was not found on this server."

Why are the files not on the server? Is there something I'm missing?
I have also tried doing everything manually by editing the httpd.conf file and hosts file... and still the same results.
Please help me figure out what's going on! I'm going crazy :confused: and it's been days and I still cannot figure it out! Thank you so much!

wow nevermind! I guess writing all this helped me figure it out! I had the Disk Location in my MAMP settings set wrong! I can't believe I finally figured this crap out!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
