Allow users to create their own blogs

Hello,

I want to create a website that allows users to create their own blogs. They do not have to be all singing all dancing blogs but just basic blog features. I could write this myself and I have got half way through it, but I am now thinking if anyone knows of anything open source that I could use to achieve this without too much tweaking. Many .NET blog engines I have found are good for someone wanting to create a blog themselves but are perhaps not so good for enabling users to create their own.

From what I know, if you know how to let your users edit their profile and have a "Show profile page"
And have a database control to show on their individual profile page.
