Recently, I performed some updates to a website, and a random "p" character is showing up. I edited the page via "vim" using putty, so I have no clue why the "p" character is showing/displaying on the page. I checked the source code for a "p" but I see none.

The page can be viewed here: http://gmsdent.com/doc.htm

The "p" character shows right above "General Dentists"

I stared at this for a moment, and can't seem to figure it out.

p is appearing in following code module:

<div id="text_area" style="position: absolute; top: 95px; left: 50%; margin-left: -390px; width: 480px; height: 300px; z-index: 3">
<font color="#FFFFFF">
<em>Click on a doctor's name to view his or her profile.</em>
<br>
<br>
p
<table id="nametable" width="100%" border="0">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td colspan="2">
<center>
<em>
<strong>General Dentists</strong>
