View Full Version : Starting graphic images on a new line

Hi

My first post and in truth, it's probably a pretty dumb one. Please bear with me - I'm not a coder/programmer and am just trying to help someone out.

I'm working within a template site and everything's fine apart from one thing. If I want to break text into paragraphs, then that's fine - I just use a
tag, but what if I want to position pictures on new lines? CSS is not an option because it's within a template site structure.

So, I've got four graphic images (jpegs) that all sit on one line, but I've then got anther image that needs to sit on a new line. If I put
tags in, they seem to have no effect and the fifth image sits alongside the other four. How can I make the fifth image start on a new line?

I hope this makes sense and I'd be really grateful for any help.

Many thanks.

Can you use inline CSS, like ?

Or if you can't or don't want to use inline CSS, Why not start a new paragraph, which is in itself a block level element:

on a similar notion to resdog; you should be making your "paragraphs" in
(paragraph) tag sets, not by using
tags... Also you can then do inline images and float them left or right and they will move to the left|right and then the text will flow around it
