I use HTML5 in IE8,like follows:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en-US">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8"/>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css">
<script src="jquery-1.6.2.js"></script>
<!--[if IE]>
<script src="html5.js"></script>
<![endif]-->
</head>
<body>
<form method="post">
<label for="priority">Priority</label>
<input type="range" min="0" max="10" name="priority" value="0" id="priority">
</body>
</html>

When I run above code,I can't see Slider under IE8,but I can see Slider under Safari and Opera. I know IE8 don't support HTML5 well,IE9 can support HTML5,but IE9 needs Windows7 environment and can't install under XP,misfortunely,my OS is XP:(,. Is there a good method to realize Slider under IE8?
Thanks

with such a small chunk of code, have you considered either making it over again non html 5 or expanding your conditional to code in non html 5?
