So, for school, by friday, I have to make my own web site. For it, I do have a few cool ideas; but, the problem is, this is my first experience with html, and none of the tutorials I've read could help me with this the way a real human could. So, if you please, I'd like to know how to do a couple effects in HTML:

I've seen an effect on an old blog that no longer exists where you could click on a link in the navbar, the page would go black, and then the link that you clicked would float to a different navbar. Does anyone have any idea how this was accomplished?

Second, my own navbar will be, for the most part, fake. It's just there for comedy. I want the sections on my navbar to change every time you reload the page, grabbed from a list of 25 possible navbars. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Any advice anybody could offer on these topics, as well as the making of web pages in general, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, in advance!

I think the usual order is crawl, walk, run, fly...
If you are just learning maybe you want to crawl first before you jump off the cliff and try to fly.....

Well I appreciate the feedback, and I actually thought about this... then I realized it was due on Friday and I don't have enough time to walk, run or crawl. I've always aimed high in these things, and, now, I just don't see how I could let inexperience bog me down when I can just contact the masters.

What you wan to do is some prety difficult "coding" like javascript or perl, not just html.

You may be able tofind javascripts for something like that by doing a search for free javascript navigation scripts or something like that.

One site to check

You are probably going to need some javascript as stated, but remember, we can't help you cheat on your school assignments. :p
