Hi Folks,

I'm getting the following layer order problem with just IE 7 and 8:

http://api.browsershots.org/png/512/42/42bbafe030521d34fc971a5bc9ac4d7b.png

I have given each layer an ID and specified a z-index for each layer to put them in order.

#blanket {
background-color:#111;
opacity: 0.85;
filter:alpha(opacity=85);
position:absolute;
z-index: 1;
top:0px;
left:0px;
width:100%;
}
#popUpDiv {
position:absolute;
background-color:#2fa5db;
width:700px;
height:320px;
z-index: 2;
}
#film {
z-index: 0;
}

This works fine in everything else and IE 9, but I really need to make it compatible with 7 and 8 too.

Anyone suggest anything?

Thanks in advance

Try

#film {
z-index: 3;
position:relative;
}

btw, you shouldn't use deprecated tags like <center> anymore. Also, you shouldn't use tables for making your layout (http://www.hotdesign.com/seybold/).

I have tried that with no joy.

The Film still appears above the pop up box in IE 7 and 8.

Try
flowplayer("player", "http://homeviewpoint.co.uk/flowplayer-3.1.5.swf",{
plugins: {
controls: {
autoHide: "always"
wmode: "transparent"
}
}
});
