css background inside of letters effect

is it possible to make give a background image to letters?

for instance, on this site (http://www.hoopservations.com/) you see that the site name is an image with a basketball dimple pattern inside the letters.

but is it possible to use a background for actual text so that I could create the same effect without replacing the site title with an image?

basically it would replace h1 {color:#000;}

as Stephan said it is not possible to have some image within the text, as the text is composed of pixels not by images

That ''header'' is an actual image.

Right-hand click it and then ''Copy Image Location''

I'm fairly new to CSS so I'm don't have a lot of experience but my suggestion would be that you can make the text image you want in something like CS3, Photobucket ect..

Then you can use a div at the top and place the image inside using relative positioning.
Or, just place the image wherever you want using

{
position:absolute;
left:0px;
top:0px;
}

Substitute 0 for the proper figures.
