how can i change value of inputbox in other window

hi

I have a window in my page and i open another window in this window by window.open(url,feather)
with specific url, I want to change value of the inputbox that is exist on the second window how can i do that

open it this way:

x=window.open(url,etc

Then reference it as:

x.document.forms['formname'].fieldname.value=something;

If the page in the second window is not from the same domain you get an "access denied" error becaue scripting cross-domain is a security violation.
