View Full Version : iPhone problem: The right edge of my site gets cut off

Hi all,

For some reason, my site (http://www.emineer.com) cuts off a bit when viewed on an iPhone. Here's a screen-capture to show what I mean:

You can see that the right edge of the top blue background is getting cut off (it should stretch to the edge of the screen). It even happens on inner pages:

As you can see, the right side of my site is cut off a bit. I have width set to 100%, so I'm not sure why this happens. It's not my phone because other sites work just fine.

Any reason for this?

Look at it on a regular computer screen, then make your browser window so narrow that a horizontal scrollbar appears and scroll to the right. Notice anything?

Yes, I see what you're saying. It also cuts off.

But the thing is, this happens on my regular computer when I visit a site like http://www.woothemes.com, but yet, that site looks fine on my iPhone...?

Do you know how to fix this?

Thank you very much,

Brandon

P.S. I love your avatar! :)

i think you missed what was happening... this doesn't happen to me when i shrink my window (their site)... i think the problem lies in your position:relative;

Edit: By this i meant what VIPStephan was hinting at... your object (can;t remeber what it was called checked it a little bit ago) starts shrinking as the window shrinks and no longer takes up the space it's supposed to

Well, I've removed the position:relative and the problem hasn't gone away...maybe if you can tell me the object you're talking about?

Thanks for your help,

Brandon

#header_area... if you shrink your browser to be idk, say half the screen width- and you scroll right that object shrinks as the browser shrinks
