Due to our rapid growth, Simian is seeking a PHP developer to help us build and expand our existing web applications. Ideal candidates will have a deep, practical understanding of PHP, experience working in test driven development, and ability to work in a closely-knit diverse team in our office.* This is the perfect opportunity for an energetic and passionate developer to join a thriving, stable, respected SaaS company in the creative industry.
*This position is located in Colorado Springs. You must be able to work on-site.
What we're looking for:
- Must be fluent in PHP/MySQL
- Strong to advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS/AJAX/Javascript/XML
- Ability to work diligently with minimum supervision and drive tasks to completion
- Experience with e-commerce and custom platforms
- Experience refactoring existing code
- Passion for problem-solving and extraordinary attention to detail
- Experience with large scale applications and new product launches
- Ability to communicate with clients and understand their needs
Optional, but we’ll be impressed:
Experience with HTML5, Python, Linux/UNIX system administration, 3rd Party API integration, distributed systems and iPhone/mobile applications.
