Hello everyone. I am looking for an apprenticeship type of opportunity to get my career started. I am most of the way through a 2 year degree program for web analyst/programmer and have taken all the major technical courses.

I have taken classes in PHP, Java, Data Base, HTML, CSS, and Java Script. What I really need to do now is put these skills to use so that I can learn the profession. I have a limitation however, I need to be able to be in two different cities about 100 miles apart and this would make an office job so to speak, difficult because i could not be on site all of the time. so I may be limited to remote work only.

If anyone has an ideas about how to go about this or if someone is interested in taking me on part time, please write me back.

Thanks,

Mike

Is your plan to be/become self-employed or to be a remote employee?

I guess the answer is no but; have you any real-world experience of coding anything, perhaps where you can show examples?

I am looking for someone to build an android app where I am provided with the 'shell' and can then add to it, the database queries and presentational attributes.

I am also seeking a pool of web designers who can be given access to the web dev part of a cms and do the css for a website. not templates; the whole xhtml flow is editable as are the plug-ins for such things as JS image galleries etc whichc means the resultant website is a 'bespoke' design but there's no server-side coding to be done.

I don't have any issue with geo-location of the person.

Congratulations to you Mike. Actually, there are lots of job vacancies there, but employers have the enough qualifications and skills required before they accept the person. You can go to a freelance job or a remote employee of what's you think will fit you. You just have to gain experience now that is the most important thing for now...
