I am working on a website and the navigation menu at the top was sliced in Photoshop. For some reason, when I add the HTML code to my pages it creates weird spacing between the images. If I add it to a blank page that doesn't use the CSS code then the spacing does not happen. Can someone please tell me what the issue is?

The navigation bar with spacing issues is here:
http://www.clayedwardspr.com/test/clients.html

As you can see here, there is no spacing issue:
http://www.clayedwardspr.com/test/banner.html

CSS Code can be found here
http://www.clayedwardspr.com/test/images/styles.css

Thank you very much in advance for any help that you can give me, I really appreciate it!

you have invalid markup:

http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.clayedwardspr.com%2Ftest%2Fclients.html

put a doctype and try to fix it, then validate css, most of the problems usualy come from this two things.

I dont understand what you mean by a doctype? I'm really new to css and can't figure out what the problem is.

no problem is simple:

http://validator.w3.org/docs/help.html#faq-doctype

this:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"

is the doctype, it help the browser to identify what version of (x)html you use.
this is a list with recommended doctypes:

http://www.w3.org/QA/2002/04/valid-dtd-list.html

and this explain how to chose one:
