Boutique marketing and design agency located in the Flatiron district is seeking a creative and energetic Senior Developer and Technical Lead. In this position youll be responsible for spearheading the agencys interactive projects and managing them on a day to day basis. This will start out as a part-time position and evolve into a full-time position in 3-5 months.
Responsibilities include:
Spearheading interactive projects
Developing technical requirements and creating functional specs
Handling all aspects and stages of website development from concept to completion
Developing programming code from scratch or by adapting existing code to meet business requirements
Integrating forms and databases via API
Testing websites / interactive products to identify any technical problems and fixing them
Developing for social media sites like Facebook and Twitter
Hiring and managing freelance programmers
Technical Skills:
Senior level PHP development experience
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
Proficient with client-side technologies such as HTML/XHTML,CSS, JQuery and Javascript
Proficient with server-side technologies such as PHP, pERL, XML, MYSQL and SSL
Proficient with open source CMSs including Wordpress and Drupal (MODX a plus).
Experience with integrating forms and databases via API
Experience with developing for social media
Experience working on e-commerce websites
Experience with mobile apps a plus
Qualifications:
Proven leadership abilities while remaining hands-on in development
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong bias toward service, quality and customer satisfaction
A strategic thinker who anticipates future trends
Assesses implications before making decisions or taking action
Ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
Thorough and precise
