View Full Version : Image on HomePage

I am revamping a site. I would like to keep the main graphics wich are the same throughout out the site for the most part on the home page for better loading time. However, everthing is in a table and the graphic border around the site is set to be the background of the columns and rows. I would like the engine picture that I have now where it is. However it is between the two columns. I've tried slicing it as well and making it an image and lining it up using the <img src="" align="left"> or <img src="" align="right"> depending on which column it's in but there is a white space between the images that is about this | | big.

Right now I currently have it as a layer by when other resolutions (than 800x600) view the page the engine is not in the right location (I have a DIV tage to align the page in the center) And my drop down menus are under it not on top of it.

If anyone can give me some imput or advice on this that would be great!

Have you tried messing around with the z-index? Change the z-index of the div you have the motor in and maybe the menu will be over it??? Other than that try percentages instead of px for positioning???
