shopping basket kind of thing( how)

I'm trying to make a shopping basket thing

1 page has a bunch of stuff and when i click "add "it adds
it to a list on another pageor cookie

when i click on the list button it shows up in a text area.


do you have any idea where i can start to find out how to do something like this.

A javascript driven shopping basket is very time consuming and are oftentimes unreliable. Not sure I have any good recommendations.
