lol. Isn't there a simpler script to achieve the same thing? I don't know any JS! :( I was keen to learn but the referenced scripts are very long and involved:

How about using a javascript framework like jquery? See http://jqueryui.com/demos/tabs/
You don't have to worry about the complexities of the back end script.
