which vector formats results in the best quality image when saved? no jagged edges or positioning issues...

any favorites?

I don’t quite understand the question but I would spontaneously say “SVG (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalable_Vector_Graphics)”.

Jagged edges or positioning issues would be a result of poor rendering, not of the file format. So I agree it's a pretty odd question, and SVG should be equally good or bad as any other file format, depending on what renders it.

Would also pay attention to the DPI setting of your Vector Graphics Editor. Mine is set to 150 DPI by default, but depending on what you want to do with the image later, you may want to up to 300, 600 or higher keeping in mind that the higher DPI the larger the overall file.
