How to avoid pop ups

I get so many pop up messages on my screen everyday(sort of alerts or windows messenger service).Is there any way to avoid them??

get rid of spyware or get a popup blocker...

well, popup blockers are not free like they should be, atleast not that Ive heard of...spyware detectors are on the other hand. Do a search in the forums here and find one. This is a highly talked about subject...

You just need to disable your messenger service. Read here:

If it is disabled though you should not get any of those alerts.
