Hello.
I'm running win2K and use an ADSL-connection. I noticed that when i shut down windows, the 'data' led is flickering (about 5 time, very briefly, with pauses of a (few) second(s)) so i assume there is some datatransfer then. Is this normal? Anyone else noticed such trafic?
Don't know if it always been like that (modem was stuffed under the desk until a few days ago).

It's part of a Microsoft conspiracy... :D

Actually, it's usually just because your pc is shutting down it's connection... Your pc and your ADSL Modem handshake when the connection is initiated and then again, when the connection is terminated...

Hmm. Your probably right and it's just Big Bill watching. I wonder what would happen if i unplug the USB cable --> the connection wouldn't be terminated, right ?. So if i would reboot. Plug the USB back in, then there should still be a connection. No? Gotta try it this evening.
Thanks
