I was not completely sure f this was the place to post this, but I was hoping to get some feedback on my latest design, maybe some things to change, whatever. Also, before you dump on my images, realize I did them in MS Paint, so they aren't in the best shape.

Should have been posted in the General Web Building forum. I am sure the mod for this forum will come along eventually and move it there.

In the meantime all I see is this:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Sorry, but explain how you got that. It's a first for me. Was it in a link?

I got the same error. I just clicked on the link from this post, and got it. It seems to be a server-side issue, so my browser specs should have nothing to do with it.

I got the same error. Just click on the link in your post and see if you get it too. Might have to clear your cache first though.

Well, I still haven't gotten the error, but 2 of my friends did, so I figure it would be somewhere in the ASP.NET Coding I did it in. The exact link is http://www31.brinkster.com/ftcwrestling/index.aspx
so maybe I need to redo that into HTML. Any ideas?

You could preload those images that you use in the menu. I hate when people don't preload them...

Pointless splash page, contrast way too low, graphics need improvement, ugly, small times font, rigid layout, doubtful coding practices, non-standards-compliant coding, use of deprecated attributes, hardly any meaningful use of CSS...

Your layout has potential (it's a fairly common one), but it does need a lot of work.

I got the splash page and them entered the site. The only link that appears to be working is "credits" and "news" the rest get :

I got the same error message Spookster did and I clicked on the second link you posted. You should contact Brinkster, cuz it looks like a problem with the .net framework on their server.

oracleguy, if you click on the link in his first post you can get to the site. His second link still gets the error so I would say it is a site problem.

Just a few points, probably mentioned before...

- The combinations of colours you have used are not very appealing. Also the images are very very poor in quality and needs to be looked at.

- The fonts you use seem to have been created by yourself, and look pretty tatty to be honest.

- The header seems to have been done in paint, which says quite a lot.

- The Copyright Tag is humongous, it only needs to be 9/10 px in height.

- The images that have 45 degree angles, they all look pretty tacky too, and just seems really poor in quality.

- The images used for you top navigation - they are not aligned correctly in Opera (7.11).

- You have not used HTML Doc Types also, which would directly insinuate that your code isn't very clean, and non-wc3 compliant (have a look at www.w3schools.com).

It seems as though you haven't been designing for very long, which if is the case, it is pretty good for an attempt. Otherwise, I honestly cannot say much.

Well, I fixed the links, they SHOULD be working now. I am working on new buttons for the menu, and plan to use Paint Shop Pro to get them right, instead of Paint. The copyright notice is being attended to, being re-done for the umpteenth time. I plan on putting in a flash entrance as soon as I get Macromedia MX. Now, I have a question, nut it will have to be read in the ASP section......
