Logo of a Magazine -- Feedback...

Ok I did not design this Logo but I need feedback on it...


also what do you guys htink about the name?, thsi will be a free-distributed Magazine in Miami-Ft.lauderdale, Culture, Art, Xtreme sports,Music (mostly) and Clubbing (Djs,etc)

I like it - which is not something hard to make me do in that I love clear and concise things.

Good font, and pretty catchy. Suits the situation too.

It has a good David Carson feel (the designer for Surfer Mags and a god of typography in the design world) -- It looks cool, but I hate that font. For Macitosh I believe Eurostile -- very typical font. The obvious text imbalance feels good... and it'll work for what you are doing. Slang has a closer feel to a younger generation and will most likely hit your target market.

However, I would say that this logo would have taken me a maximum of an hour to make, and very cheap, so I hope you understand that it is not that advanced.

The text positioning will make it flexible for a magazine layout (something I used to do)... but a different, more CUSTOM font would be better. And, always for Xtreme Sports, I would recommend a little distortion. Similiar to 54321 on ESPN?

David Carson's website (http://www.davidcarsondesign.com/?dcdc=n) is not advanced, but if you can find his portfolio, you will see his work for Big Surf and all that jazz... how he revolutionized Art in the Print Medium.
