If your menu does not work within the user's browser width the problem is with the menu or your design approach. Learn to make things work within the client area of a browser, which can be anything from PDA or cell-phone to hi-res workstation.

I've actually been trying to make the page as general as possible. I don't know if you saw my test page, but I have it coded to expand or contract depending on the user's screen resolution, but I would really like to have it be in full screen because I would like to be able to take full advantage of 800x600 resolution without the user to have to scroll over.
PS. I'll try to make the menu a little differently to where it's easily adjustable, because right now it's a little rigid.

If user decides to view your page in full screen mode he will do so, however your web page should be usable with ANY resolution.
If you have too many menu items to fit on a screen horzontally, consider vertical menu or allow menu items to stack on top of each other.
Remember your job is to provide information. It is up to the user to decide how they want to accept it. For all you know they may want to dump port 80 traffic to a text file and view it - your content should still be accessible.

frodo444, in direct answer to your question, this cannot be done. You can resize the window so that it looks like it is maximized, but you can't truly maximize it.
People who resize my window to look maximized are the most evil people in the world though. I always try to close the window and end up closing the one behind it. :o

Thanks for your input, arny.... for a straight out answer. I'll try to make the page more versatile.
