Hi,
while using Mozilla, is it possible at all to insert a TAB character from the keyboard into a multiline <textarea> element? Whatever I try either shifts the focus to the neighbouring form elements/links or sets another tabbed window active. Using Mozilla 1.3 on Win2k.
Because I'm currently building some text-formatting rules for editing content on my site, I'd like to use wiki-style formatting rules. Being able to simply indent text to make it a quote or list would simplify the editing process significantly. I undersand that the messages on http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29086 indicate that this is the desired behaviour, but for <textarea> fields I find it highly counter-intuitive.
So if anyone knows of a workaround without pasting the text into a text-editor, tabbing and re-pasting into the HTML form, please let me know. Thanks. :)
