Would one of you PS wizards out there, if possible, take the image from the below linked page and make it transparent so all that you see is the case and cover art but not all that nasty white. I tried it myself but always ended up with rough jagged edges... Ty.

Something like this: Image (http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/3552/gamej.png)

If so, that was done in less than a minute with paint.net. PS is overkill at times. If mine isn't good enough:

Might try feathering the edges or using a slight blur. paint.net has those tools, but didn't use them. Be sure to download image as I will probably remove it soon.

Already did DL it when you first posted it ;-)

Would you though for argumentss sake want to see if you could maybe clean up the edges for me some ;-)

It appears to be just the back edge, and then the top n bottom.

No worries if you don't want to just thought I might ask ;-)

I got the left edge, but don't have a graphics tablet to do a good job on the top/bottom. Those are still too rough. Since I don't have PS, my editor doesn't have very fancy tools. Here's the one with left edge cleaned up: Image 2 (http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/2717/gamef.png)

Maybe someone with PS that is better at mouse control or with a graphics tablet can do the top/bottom for you.

Thx for that, also while I have your attention... would you happen to be any good with SQL ? If so would you please consider checking out the following thread ?

Do you still need the top and bottom of this to be cleaned up? I could do it in a minute in photoshop if this is still necessary.

I have not seen what the orignal img looks like, nor have I been able to see MP's suggested img, but if I may toss in a slight suggestion for removing content in PS...

if your img is a single-layer file, right-mouse click it, and select "layer from background." (Go ahead and duplicate the layer just in case you need to go back to it in the future though, and click the eyeball on the duplicated layer.) Then create a new layer, and fill it with something opposing whatever the colour to be erased is, and move it below the img.

Here is where the fun part begins...

Add a layer mask to the one that needs to be worked on. Start drawing black across the area that needs to be erased, and you should see that it is vanishing before your eyess! Then once you get it all cleared away, you should have a nice, crisp img of whatever your object is. http://reaganator.com/comments/super.gif

Wow! that is a cool trick. I have also struggled with trying to draw around an image to cut it out so I can get rid of the background, and usually it just does not look all that good. I'm not that great at ps so this is great info that I will use the next time. Thanks for the tip.
