View Full Version : Issues with Inserting Header Image

Hey there,

I've got the Revolution theme on my forum and have been trying to add a header image. I've been trying to follow a guide on how to do it. Now, one step mentions going to styles/revolution/template/overall_header and it shows how to insert the necessary coding into this page. But the problem is that when I go to this page, all I see is:

{META} if ({S_NEW_PM}) { var url = '{UA_POPUP_PM}'; window.open(url.replace(/&/g, '&'), '_phpbbprivmsg', 'height=225,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes, width=400'); } /** * Find a member */ function find_username(url) { popup(url, 760, 570, '_usersearch'); return false; } /** * New function for handling multiple calls to window.onload and window.unload by pentapenguin */ window.onload = function() { for (var i = 0; i < onload_functions.length; i++) { eval(onload_functions[i]); } } window.onunload = function() { for (var i = 0; i < onunload_functions.length; i++) { eval(onunload_functions[i]); } } // ]]> // --> // -->

Which is obviously not the right coding, and thus I can't edit my header image through this. And then when I look through the FTP files in GoDaddy I look through the history, I am able to see the OLD version of that page and it is correct. I've tried restoring it but it just reverts back to that same coding.

Any of you know how to either find another way to add the header or properly restore that file?

Thank you in advance!

well the code you got there is javascript, thats one thing. If your code for the old version is also javascript then you should be able to retrieve the proper code from doing a page source view when you have the old page up. You will be able to see any client side code this way. PHP will not be seen (keep this in mind when you create secure websites... never use javascript to process sensitive material).

Also can you not just go back to the original source (template) and get the code that still works?

Lastly do a page source view on this current page with problems... its clear the browser is treating this code as plain text. This string may have in advertintely found itself inside a document.write(); function. Probably not, but you never know.
