Help? I CAN'T get PDFs to Download

Hello All, I'm totally new here. I came because I really need help ASAP!

I've spent hours at html tutorials and used every tactic to get 2 links to 2 differnt PDFs to download. The odd part is it opens to my Downloads Folder in my Documents where those PDFs have never been!

Support at GoDaddy says they aren't allowed to assist with this type of problem. He just said my PDF's "must be pointed in the wrong direction"

If that is true, then tell me how to reverse it!

I work with pdf's on my web. It is very easy to link to a pdf and get it to download, have the pdf in the same folder as your website, upload to the website host. Then link to it on your webpage, giving the path of your pdf. Or have I not understood your query correctly?

It does sound like a path issue. You will need to show us the code you are working with though. Hard to say what you're doing wrong if we can't see it.
