insert and retrieve text

Hi

Im inserting formatted text using textarea to mysql field and text is looks like


first line
second line
third line


once i retrieve this text, its looks like


first linesecond linethird line


how to keep the format when retrieve?

Are they being echoed within a loop? I notice there are no spaces between the 3 lines, which would be the case if you were viewing it within a browser with no break tags.

Otherwise, you are echoing each line with no new line characters in between.

no loop since i retrieve one raw
im echo it back to a textarea
