Hi Im trying to add 4 small images to the left of a page but they keep pushing the text down to the bottom of the page. They need to float to the left

See the problem at http://www.romantictubs.com/privacy-policy

Any suggestions to fix this? Its driving me crazy :) :confused:

<?php
/**
* Template Name: News
*
* A custom page template without sidebar.
*
* The "Template Name:" bit above allows this to be selectable
* from a dropdown menu on the edit page screen.
*
* @package WordPress
* @subpackage Twenty_Ten
* @since Twenty Ten 1.0
*/

get_header(); ?>

<?php include('small_image.php');?>

<div id="container" class="one-column">
<div id="content" role="main">

<?php if ( have_posts() ) while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>

<div id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>" <?php post_class(); ?>>
<h1 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
<div class="entry-content">
<?php the_content(); ?>
<?php wp_link_pages( array( 'before' => '<div class="page-link">' . __( 'Pages:', 'twentyten' ), 'after' => '</div>' ) ); ?>
<?php edit_post_link( __( 'Edit', 'twentyten' ), '<span class="edit-link">', '</span>' ); ?>
</div><!-- .entry-content -->
</div><!-- #post-## -->

<?php comments_template( '', true ); ?>

<?php endwhile; ?>

</div><!-- #content -->
</div><!-- #container -->

<?php get_footer(); ?>

I notice this comment in your script:
* A custom page template without sidebar.

Both of these <div>'s need to be floated left:
<div id="small_image">
<div id="container" class="one-column">

And the widths defined properly so they fit the main page width.

I'm looking at this file:
http://www.romantictubs.com/wp-content/themes/twentyten/style.css

I don't see where the CSS style sheet references are. #small_image is not defined at all.

Hi mlseim, thanks for the help :)

Ive added the following to the css http://www.romantictubs.com/wp-content/themes/minisite/style.css

#small_images
{
float: left;
width: 140px;
}

Which has fixed it but the text is now too far to the right, any suggestions to fix this? Can you see any other problems with it?

There's so many more <div>'s and classes ...

Somewhere else, the text must be pushed by a margin or padding.
Too hard to find it from my end.

It's one of these div's:

<div id="container" class="one-column">
<div id="content" role="main">
<div id="post-11" class="post-11 page type-page hentry category-uncategorized">
<div class="entry-content">

You have to make some small changes to various things and see what happens.
Narrow it down.

Ive added in the following to the css and it seems to have fixed it. How does it look from your end?

.news #content
{
margin-left:20px;
width: 640px;
}

Sorry for thread crapping, but since your problem is fixed, why not. How the heck does a inflatable hot tub work. Wouldn't it like melt?

lol well I don't have one but I know someone that does, she loves it and splashes around in it all day long :)

They tell me IHTs

* Inflates in minutes
* No Tools needed easy to assemble
* 105 air jets :)
* Heats up to 104 :)
* A great way to relax at home :)
