EDIT: if I remove font from css, then it lines up OK. ... ?

not 100% sure what you mean but try adding line-height: 1; and see if that addresses your issue.

I think I see what you're talking about. You have to zoom in to see it, but not sure why this would be an issue. I had to look hard and zoom in a couple of times to really notice it.

see this in firefox, note the top of 3. and 4. column of images.
I think it comes pretty noteable.

it can be corrected by line-height, but then it goes bad in IE.
