need help to create a directory of people

hellow all ,
i am running a mobile site and want to build a people directory. I can create the directory but my problem is how i will create a sub folder for example facebook is doing that

facebook.com/people/full name/ID


How they are creating the sub folder with the name and id i just need that code so can anybody help me

You'll use .htaccess rewrite rules on your website server to process those URL's.
Something you can find using Google.
