I'm having problems with the aligment of this website i'm making. in firefox and safari everything is ok and locally everything is fine on ie aswell, but for some reason the uploaded version doesn't work on my version of ie but is perfectly fine on a different computer?

IE Local Screen (http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/509/localo.jpg)

As you can see the navigation is messed up in IE and so is some of the content on the home page. I can't for the life of me work this is issue out. Admittedly i'm pretty new to the whole website development thing though so any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers!

Which version of IE are you experiencing a problem with? I viewed your page in IE8 and it seems to look fine.
