Hi all,

I'm not much of a web designer/developer but doing my best to help out a friend. They would like a form that users can fill some simple details out with and have a background image under it. In Flash no problem but no idea how to attempt it in html.

Here is an example of the form with background images: http://www.vividpixel.net/pub/sandbox/form/mywebform.html

Currently I've been trying to do it using DIV's which works but for some reason my textareaRequiredMsg tags are being ignored. I used to have it sitting in a table and everything worked great but now they want an image behind it I don't know how to proceed. I did try using background-image in CSS and adding it to the table but that means I'm locked into having a single table for my entire page which isn't any good because I don't want the entire page to be limited to 3 columns!

Very basic stuff so forgive me for the sloppy code.

Any help would be really great, much appreciated!

Nick.

Remove that img tag ans set the image as the background of <form> tag (or on a wrapper <div> of that form )

form{background:url(images/bg_entire.jpg)}

PS: You need to remove all tables used in your layout, since using tables for layout is stupid (http://www.hotdesign.com/seybold/).
