I cannot uninstall MS Security Essentials.

During a recent upgrading session, my Security Essentials became unusable and I tried to uninstall it in order to re-install it. I could not do so. Even REVO wouldn't remove it as it did not show it on its listing.

Trying to re-install also will not work, so I am asking for help. Have I really got to re-format the diskdrive and re-instal Windows.:eek:

Googling has not helped me either. I have followed the various methods without success.:confused:

No error messages, just the fact that it would not uninstall. It appeared to have gone, but kept updating. The updates would not instal. Also, trying to re-install told me to first remove the old version.
Revo couldn't find it so I could not use it to remove it.
I finally removed it by going through the disk and registry, removing anything that seemed to have a connection to it.

I will not put it back. I'll rely on Comodo.
