mootools ajax on page load

I'm a beginner to mootools, and I'm trying to learn how to create a basic page using ajax that can query a mysql database and display that information on the initial page load.

does anyone have any basic examples or know of a tutorial that shows something similar?

I've been searching all over, and I see info on ajax form submits, but nothing on loading it on the initial page load.

Any help is appreciated.
