Hi!
I'm trying to crop this image: http://www.chapsticky.net/miscellaneous/car01.jpg onto a black background using PSP7. So far, I've been able to get this: http://www.chapsticky.net/miscellaneous/car02.jpg after a lot of tedious work with the eraser, paint brush, and airbrush tools. Is there any way I can get rid of the little that is left around the edges? I know there's the freehand tool, but I'm horrible with that. I'd really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks so much, and have a lovely night.

Try the magnetic lasso tool. It "sticks" to pixel colr and automatically sticks to that pixel until you click on a new pixel.

I've tried that, but I just want to smooth out the top of the car and other areas that look jagged and such - the smooth tool hasn't helped with that, either.

This is just with the magnetic lasso tool in a hurried few minutes. As an example

The only other suggestion I have is to feather the edges of the layer that is the car.....

Thanks, I'll try it again. :)

I usually also contract the selection by a pixel or two and then feather it ..... usually smooths out the edges very nicely.
