It is okay. I see some issues with trying to make that into a web page though. The sides would be hard to repeat down so you may have to have a fixed size image and hold the content to a div with overflow:auto which can get ugly.

"their"...sorry lol pet peeve of mine. Web designers need to have proper grammar and spelling.
I think the site looks good as well. As Aero said you may have some issues. If you are just starting out, I personally think image editors should should be used for, well image editing not so much for site designs. Often times people will "design" a page layout in PS or illustrator, or even fireworks, and then run into quite a few issues when they try to translate that into HTML and CSS.
Again, I do love the colors and textures. Incorporate those aspects into an easily coded layout that will be less of a headache.
.... Often times people.....
erm; often, people....sorry lol pet peeve of mine. Web designers need to have proper grammar and spelling. :p:p

I like the concept, but I agree it might be difficult to recreate in code. Also, in some browsers that "header" is going to take up most of the above-the-fold real estate. That can be ok in some rare cases, as long as you're aware of that.
Make sure you take a look at your mockup in various resolutions to see how it will display before you commit to a final design.

First, lets thank the coders. Being able to understand strings of code and translating it onto something is incredible.
As a designer. Your design is not working. The only thing that is, is your "Thrusday" graphic up top. I would keep that.
Your font choice is way off, there is no hierarchy of legibility. Try making your font on your main nav bold, in caps and separate them with a " | " or something.
You need some breathing room around your headlines to your paragraphs. Also alignment of your typography is needed.
Let me know, I would like to help.
