When going to visit websites recently, I quite often randomly IE8 hangs and I get the following message:
"Windows Internet Explorer
This window is busy. Closing this window may cause some problems. Do you
want to close it anyway.
OK"
I have then to click OK and the window shuts down and I have to start again.
Anyone know what's causing this and know a work around.
This has only started since getting the dreaded Operation Aborted error message.
All help much appreciated.

I think, there might be the google adsense in those websites. There was an issue with the google adsense script, and google says they've fixed. See http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdSense/thread?tid=5185d2ee23123e84&hl=en and related.

Many thanks abduraooft
Knowing that it's Google's fault about the Operation Aborted and The window is busy.
Also all the missing thumbnail images on YouTube that I asked about in another thread have also now returned.
At least I know it's not my computer.
Many Thanks Again

If IE 8 is slow and buggy on your system, try reregistering the ActiveX Interface Marshaling Library. At a command prompt type
>regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
In Vista, you must do this from an elevated command prompt.

Chartwise, I recommend that you reset your browser and then try turning off the Add-ons to see if any of them are affecting the browser.
1. You can also try resetting Internet Explorer's settings by going to
--> Tools
-- > Internet Options and then the "Advanced" tab, and click "Reset..."
2. Run IE in No Add-ons Mode.
--> Go to Start
--> All Programs
--> Accessories
--> System Tools
--> Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) –
If this fixes the issue, then go to Tools- -> Manage Add-ons and enable the add-ons one by one to find which one was causing the problem.
Good luck

Seems that different people hate different browsers.
I hate Firefox because it's too slow and clunky using up system sources.
Crashes too easily.
Love Chrome as it's ultra fast and rarely crashes. - only snag it doesn't work properly on some pages and very few add-ons.
IE8 to me is somewhere in between - I use Chrome mainly.
