Hi there Folks!
I'm also another one of those "wet behind the ears" posters!:)
I am wondering how you go about getting the material on your website (ie Logo etc.) copyrighted.
Any Pointers?:)

chances are if someone nicks your graphics, there isnt much you can do about it. and youd have to find someone who had nicked the first.

I would just add the copyright notices in the markup/image, with the creation date etc.
Im not sure on how to go about this, here is a related thread to read:

Getting the actual copyright can vary depending on what country you are in.
If you are in the US, you can get one from the US Copyright Office (http://www.loc.gov/copyright/).
By just placing the notice on the page will allow you enforce it but you cannot recieve damages for mis-use. Additionally, you need proof that you made it first. So, what you can do is burn the content onto a CD then mail it in an envolope to yourself and don't open it when you get it back. Because the post mark date is proof.
By purchasing a copyright, you can recieve damages in court like money.

You can also get a university or governmental institution - if you are a student or work at such a place - to sign a copyright notice for you. In fact, in many countries this is the only way for a private person to register a copyright.

Or you can just put the cd in a safe deposit box at a bank and just make sure the bank keeps a record of when it's opened.

As I understand it, and i cant find the site now,as the others have said internet copyright law is unique. As soon as you post any media that is your invention and is original it is copyrighted. However enforcing the copyright is a whole 'nother ball game. U nless you intend the logo's or articles you produce to earn you big bucks then dont worry about it.
There are ways to stop people copy and pasting and saving pictures by way of a simple code, but again this is only a deterent, if they want it they will get it.
