I start by making a square (with the marquee tool) with th size of 200x200. Now I want to split it from top right corner to bottom left corner (a 46 degree cut) to get 2 triangles. Is there an easier way of doing this than pixel by pixel?
Thank you in advance!

Try this as an alternative:
Choose the polygonal lasso tool and select a triangle. Once you're done with that portion, hit shift, ctrl, i to invert the selection to the other portion.
Hope this helps?

or you could just do the polygonal vector shape tool for a 3 sided shape ... do it propotional and then convert it to a selection.

You can use the polygon tool, that would work, or you could do it this way:
Select the whole thing - and convert that selection to a shape or path. Now you have a perfect outline rectangle that is a path. Take the pen tool that has the minus ( - ) sign right next to it, and click it over one of the dots on one of the corners of your rectangle. You now have a perfect split triangle made from your perfect rectangle dimensions. Takes you three commands, and you are done.
And, as they said, just invert it for the other side.
